Gay Rights

So for DIA I had to write a statement for the Pros of Gay Rights ( do you realize how hard it was to write a Cons side for gay rights? we couldn't think of anything really besides Religion Says NO! haha we would suck as conservatives) Here it is anyway, what do you think? Its pretty rough but ah well they will fix it up and oh! i found this amazing website that basically confronts every issue to gay rights possible, I dont see how anyone could argue with it go and see! http://www.bidstrup.com/marriage.htm

"We believe that gay people should have the same rights as everyone else for the following basic reasons. Love is love, no matter what, scientifically proven to be imprinted into our biology, with no distinction towards gender, race, etc. Another reason is the benefit of legal rights which are strangely non-existant for homosexuals in jobs, housing, public accomodations, equal access to the government, and even equal protection of the law. Our last reason is rights as a human being. The basic right of freedom is being violated. One of the main issues against gay rights is the reason of the Bible saying it's wrong, which is, on top of already violating freedom in its most basic form, is now violating a constitutional freedom of freedom of religion which also inclues freedom from religion. By automatically assuming they are Christian and then forcing them to practice Christian beliefs is immoral, disgusting, going against our constituion, and violating basic rights as a human being."

Yeah I know, I snuck my opinion of extreme Christians, whatever, everyone knows its true.
